Alicia Zomeño
Currently residing in Lisbon, I follow a creative path nourished by my curiosity about the world around us. Photography is an ever-evolving challenge, a meeting point where my artistic concerns and my passion for visual storytelling converge. My roots lie in the light and warmth of the Spanish Mediterranean, in a small city I left as a young person to explore new horizons.
Academic Backgrounds
My Fine Arts education from the University of Murcia and my Artistic Production studies at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, complemented by studies in Production Management at ESCAC, provided me with a solid and multidisciplinary foundation. During my years of study, I explored painting with vivid colors and the three-dimensionality of installation art, a search that ultimately found its home in photography, my current field of research and expression.
It's a blank canvas where my creativity unfolds in the choice of elements and the definition of the message. In this phase, if it's a group project, all parties work together to create an idea. It involves the selection of the space, the capturing of expressions, and the construction of an aesthetic that resonates with the project's vision.
2. Production
The moment of bringing that planning to life – the poses, the desired atmosphere, the dance of light, and the unique instant of the shot – a silent collaboration between the camera and the subject, place, or object.
